Hello,

I am 31 and have been where you are. Trust me, I understand your frustration and some of it is probably justified. I know that you feel that your parents don't trust you, but I'm here to tell you that's not true. They don't trust the world.

Every day it seems we see another story of a young lady who goes missing. Your parents are less concerned about you having a good time than you being safe. Now, there is always a danger that they could push you away with all of this, but don't let them. The fact that you told your mom what you did is a good sign that you have your head screwed on right. KEEP DOING IT!

Not enough kids have parents who care, and I do mean CARE, enough about them to try and steer them clear of trouble even if in this case there was none. They're not your friends, or your equals, they're your folks. In a couple of years you'll have all the freedom you can handle and then some. Be thankful they love you enough to piss you off now and then :p.

Good luck, be good and take it from a guy, teenage boys are morons. Keep your guard up.
