How can you ever tell if the person your with is the one for you. Or if its someone else. You just have to trust in god that everything works out. And take that chance with the one you love, if you really love them then you would want to be with them for the rest of your life. Till death do you part.

Yes, you are right. if we love them, we want to be with them for the rest of our lives. However, what if the the person you love doen't have to feeling for you, are you going to spend the rest of your life with that person? Don't you think you are wasting your life?

I don't know...I've always been somewhat of a romantic and an optimist, and I believe in love and that I will find it at some point (I'm 28) and I've had my heart broke a million ways and probably broke my fair share of hearts (unintentionally of course :-), but the one thing that always seems to be true is that I eventualy find someone new to love, and its different and not perfect, buts its love nonetheless. And I love it. I don't know if I'm comfortable saying people are replaceable, because I still love almost everyone I've ever loved, in my own nostalgic way, but I sincerely doubt the existence of any sort of soul mate or any of those deals. Love is a chemical reaction, similar to the effect of eating large quantities of chocalate. I know I botched the Pacino quote from "Devils Advocate" but you get the point. If you are a loving person, and always have love in your heart, you'll always find someone to love. And if that doesn't work out, if you stay a loving person, and keep love in your heart, you'll always find someone new. That's the best advice I can give.

Anyway, Everyone is in love with their best friends because that's the person you should love. That's the person who is worth loving. These other people weave in and out of your life. Relationships are about finding a best friend. If you already have one, who is of the opposite sex, well then you are well on your way. And once you hit a certain age, looks essentially become irrelevant. Looks get you in the door, but don't get you up the stairs to the bed room (except with um, well...sluts I believe is the parlance of our day.)
