What's wrong with me?

Just another request for help...
My boyfriend and I have been together for about 2 1/2 years. I love him with all my heart, and I know he does too. We have been through some of the most extreme ups and downs. Sounds great right??? I have been waiting for the past year and a half for him to make the next move. I mean propose to me. I feel like I have nothing to show for all that we have put into this realtionship. Don't get it wrong- I'm not a gold digger, I've picked out some of the most georgous rings for under $300 that would suit me just fine. I am just ready to step up. When we talk about it, he says he wants to too, but he's just not ready. Im afraid he's really just worried about what his mother will say... I'm growing impatient and very frusterated. What can I do or say to convince him that he is ready??? Im tired of waiting...

Ask him when he will be ready...how much longer? From experience I am telling you, some men will drag it on as long as they possibly can even when they are in love! So talk to him ASAP!

I had the same problem and i finally told him that if it didn't go anywhere i was gonna leave him, not because i didn't love him but because who wants to spend the rest of their lives with someone who wont make the ultimate commitment? So i broke up with him and once i did he realized what he would lose and that i was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. Im not a golddigger either i just want to know that he wants to be with me forever and im not just the girl for right now. Good luck.

I will start by quoting you "what can I do or say to convince him that he is ready" The answer: Nothing! you cant do a dammm thing. Look Men hate Marrage and Giving Him Altimadums and deadlines will push him back even further. Plus if you say marry me or else, and he does what Validity does that give your marrage. Let me ask you this how long have you lived with him? Do you really even know him. remember marrage has a 40% success rate and when a man is Strong armed into it "marry me or else" 30% I suggest you live together at least a year. (if you do already what the heck is marriage going to change)The best thing you can do is stop asking but be honest with yourself if you start loosing interst dont fake it let it be known but dont bring up marrage anymore. He knows your ready and when he is ready he will act. There is nothing you can do or say to "Convince him that he is Ready" I hope you make the right desition, because the right desitions are always the hardest!

try living with him first. the the only difference in that an marriage is a piece of paper. I lived with my husband for 2 1/2 years before we got married we have been together 12 years since.
